Enhanced Recovery
Lymphatic Drainage
Gentle & Passive
Lymphatic Drainage in Pensacola, FL
Your lymphatic system moves fluid and waste out of your tissues, and unlike your circulatory system it has no pump of its own. It relies on movement and muscle contraction instead. Lymphatic drainage sessions use gentle, sequential compression to encourage that flow while you lie down and let it work.
Sessions in Pensacola at Fitology are fully clothed, entirely passive, and about as low-effort as recovery gets. It is a favorite among members dealing with heavy legs, post-travel swelling, the appearance of cellulite, or the aftermath of a hard training block.
Typical session: 30-60 minutes
Reasons to Go
Why use Lymphatic Drainage?
Lymphatic drainage sessions get booked for a range of everyday reasons. Here are some of the most common ones.
Appearance of Cellulite
One of the most common reasons members book. Sequential compression is widely used to soften the look of cellulite by encouraging fluid movement in the tissue just beneath the skin.
Post-Workout Recovery
Frequently used by athletes and heavy lifters between hard training blocks, alongside compression and cold exposure.
Swelling & Fluid Retention
A common choice for heavy, puffy legs after travel, long days on your feet, or summer heat.
Relaxation
Sessions are quiet, passive, and fully clothed. Many members treat the time as dedicated downtime and enjoy the rhythmic massage of the suit.
Step by Step
What to Expect
Never had a lymphatic drainage session? The process is simple and relaxing.
1. Check In: Come see us at the front desk if you scheduled in advance, or to ask if we have space for a walk-in appointment. First-timers get a quick walkthrough of the equipment and how the compression cycle works.
2. Get Comfortable: You stay fully clothed and lie down while our staff fit the compression sleeves. Nothing to change into and nothing to shower off afterward.
3. Start the Cycle: Soft, sequential pressure travels in waves along the body toward your natural drainage points. We set the intensity to whatever feels right for you.
4. Relax: From there it is genuine downtime. Most listen to music or nap, so bring headphones if you like.
Lymphatic drainage sits naturally alongside the rest of what we offer. A common stack is an infrared sauna session first to warm up, then lymphatic drainage, then Normatec compression on the way out.

Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes. Full Access members receive two half-body sessions per four weeks, and additional sessions are available a-la-carte.
You stay fully clothed and lie down while the system applies gentle, sequential pressure that moves in waves along the body. Most people describe it as a slow, rhythmic massage rather than anything intense.
It is one of the most common reasons members book. Sequential compression encourages fluid movement in the tissue just beneath the skin, which is why it is widely used to soften the appearance of cellulite. Results vary from person to person, and members who care most about this tend to book consistently rather than once.
No. Lymphatic drainage sessions are included with our Full Access membership but can also be purchased a-la-carte by members and non-members alike.
It varies by person and goal. Many members book one to two sessions per month as general maintenance, while others go more often during a hard training block or after travel.
While lymphatic drainage can benefit a vast majority of people, there are exceptions. Compression-based lymphatic therapy is not appropriate if you have conditions such as active infection, blood clots or DVT, congestive heart failure, or certain kidney conditions, and it should be cleared with your physician if you are pregnant. Please talk to your doctor and let our staff know about any medical history before your first session.
